Hey everyone.. I've got a question here.. I have a 1900 switch and 2 2500 routers.
What I'm trying to do is basically split the switch in half dividing it into 2 separate vlans. Then connecting one router to one vlan and the other to the other vlan, and connect the two routers together via their serial ports. I then connected a computer to each vlan and tried to ping each computer. So basically similar to router on a stick but using 2 routers.

Basically I'm wondering is there any reason why this shouldn't work? I've had a few attempts at this but all unsuccessful so far. I can't see any reason why it shouldn't work, so if someone can just confirm it'll work for me, I'll keep at it.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, lxthekid
I am glad you have it working.
Yes, that is a way to provide intervlan routing and I have used that sucessfully. However, please understand that Cisco ccna objectives are heavy with router on a stick, so make sure and study that!!
Cheers!
