I don't understand this answer:
"Which layer chooses and determines the availability of communicating partners, along with the resources necessary to make the connection; coordinates partnering applications;and forms a consensus on procedures for controlling data integrity and error recovery?"
The answer is apparently the Application layer. But I can't see how any of that relates to the application layer, as once you get away from session layer, leaving just presentation and app layers, communication and error recovery procedures are all sorted.
