I've been using the Sybex Network+ Study Guides for a number of years now in my Network+ classes and have always been able to obtain Instructor Resources via Sybex. I don't see anything listed for this latest book. Is it just that the materials are so new that they haven't been posted yet (I hope)?
Just got my Eval Copy and so far the book looks great (I spotted that 228ft typo too). 8-(
This new book looks to be a winner and if I have to, I guess I'll just make up my own PowerPoints but not having access to even the graphics will make that a little tough.
Any info you can pass along would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

There are instructor resources, including power points avaialble through Sybex/Wiley.
Probably at the time you looked, I was still working on them.
Cheers!

Todd,
Just checked again. They still don't have them posted. I had contacted the Wiley rep a while back about this and was told that they had the materials and that the website would have the materials up in June, they told me this back in May.
Maybe it's time for another email to the rep.....
Thanks for your reply!

I think you have to sign up and that they just aren't posted for anyone to download. But they do have them. I sent them your info.

For some odd reason, the Instructor Companion Site is not "linked" to the book's page. You can send the instructor here for now, but I'm need to follow up with somebody on this end:

Todd,
I can get to the page but need to login to download. Try to login and the page is unavailable.
Looks like they're doing something big on the website now.
I'll followup with Jeff Kellum at Sybex/Wiley to be sure I'm not doing something wrong (wouldn't be the first time).
Once again, thanks for your help!

Does anyone have info on Physical diagrams, logical diagrams and wiring schematics/diagrams? I have read todd's book and now I am using Transcender.com's practice test materials and their info conflict with what todd says. Is there a definitive answer for what comptia is actually looking for? For instance this is what they say about wiring schematic "
Wiring Schematic emphasizes the flow of the network. Includes equipment symbols and lines that indicate the flow of network communications and symbols to indicate equipment function. They use horizontal and vertical lines to show how the system flow functions, not the physical layout of the devices in the network."
and
Logical network diagram includes server roles, domain architecture, protocols used and trust relationships. (server names, IP addresses are not included) It represents how the data will logically be transported through the network. Doesn’t usually show the actual interfaces and wires. It does include routing tables.
Physical Network Diagram includes cable lengths and types, server names, IP addresses, server roles, network equip location, server operating system versions and number of network users.
Todd can you give a definite answer on these?
