Error in a review question?

Question 5:
What is the purpose of Spanning Tree Protocol in a switched LAN?
A. To provide a mechanism for network monitoring in switched environments
B. To prevent routing loops in networks with redundant paths
C. To prevent switching loops in networks with redundant switched paths
D. To manage the VLAN database across multiple switches
E. To create collision domains

The answer is given as E even though it should be C, and the corresponding explanation for the correct answer (C) is given.

UGH! You are correct! I looked and found the error.
I can't beleive it. Something so simple too!
I read that book 50 times....things like that slip by too easily...

But I am glad I've completed chapter's 7 and 8! toughest I guess!
