Hi Todd,

I have been using your CCENT study guide which is excellent to prepare for my exam coming up in 2 months time. I understand subetting quite well now thanks to you!:p However, I have a question about you answer to
question 3 on page 166. 'Write the subnet, broadcast address and valid host range for : 192.168.100.66/27'

My calculations are as follows:

subnet mask is: 255.255.255.224
Therefore, Block size is: 256 - 224 = 32

So the subnets are: 0,32,64, 96,......

192.168.100.66 is a host in the 64 subnet i.e. 192.168.100.64

Broadcast address is 192.168.100.95 and

the valid host range is: 65 - 94.

However, your answer on page 176 shows it to be: host in the 32 subnet,
broadcast address of 63 and valid host range: 33 - 62.

This doesnt seem right.

Pls confirm whats correct? Many thanks, Todd.
