Passed today.
I started today in the dentists chair for near two hours, as they needed take out my tooth. Four injections, a hammer and a large pair of plyers.
I got home and hit my lab for four hours to be sure. Then off to the test centre. Upon getting there and signing in, a guy comes out the test room all happy as he had just passed his CCNA.
Just after that another chap comes out (another CCNA exam), and he had failed. He had got less than 200/1000, i felt really bad.
My score was 822/1000. I was a bit disapointed about the score, but meh.It was a hard exam, loads on VoIP and Wireless, which are my weak areas anyhow.

Hello,
congrats! I know the feeling to pass with a low score ... ;-)
By the way, I usually do my exams in the morning, that saves some trouble.
Bye, Tore

A passing score is a perfect score!
You know what to beef up on, but man, that test is HARD!
Congratulations, BE. I am sure the crown had to help a little.
I got a new bottle today :)
I will crack it open right now in your honor sir!!

Congratulations BE.. i had the same exact problems, the switching technology, and redudancy protocols were neat, along with MST, and SVI intervlan routing. But the Wireless skunked me. OMG.. I did average on Qos and VOIP, but there were a pain to learn.. The DSCP and AFI were a pain. The wireless section was worse. Uggh...
Todd hopefully your new book will lift my spirits up about wireless, because the BCMSN made it trecherous
Again Congrats BE... onto ISCW ????
you"ll find ISCW to be very cool and interesting. Especially Cef/MPLS, and CBAC

Thanks.
You will be fine. The guy with the score below 200 made two mistakes:
1. He proberly never read Todd's book.
2. He is not a memember here.

Thanks Markus.
Thats the plan ISCW, i am just looking into some more routers on ebay.
Can't wait to get into MPLS. I am good with IPSec VPN, because we work with ASA 5505/5510's most of the day.
My VoIP was a very poor 37%. Wireless was not much better. But i got through by the skin of my teeth, or what is left of them from the morning. LOL....

Thanks TL.
I hope there is some CR left for me? If not i will open a bottle of John Daniels instead.
It's a bit early here for a shot of CR, then again.....
Thanks for all your help bro'. :)
Congratulations BE. Don't worry about the score, you passed a tough test.
How did you prep for the wireless section, and could you have done anything extra? I have to admit, this is the section I'm dreading most as it's the one I'll have the least practical experience with.

With great difficulty Fuzz. Thankfully a chap i work with help me, as he used to work for wireless company helped me clear things up when i was asking questions.
I really could have set up a lab, but that would have been out of my buget.
I think a WLC is out of most people's budget!
Hopefully the theory behind it will be enough for when I take it:confused:

fuzz,
i too, did not have the equipment to practice wireless labs. But Ciscodocs, and white papers help tremendously with my wireless troubles. Even tho, i didnt do so well on wireless, as i hoped.. I do thank the docs becuase i know without them, i wouldve really done bad on the wireless..
haha, i think the CCNA wireless should be a pre-requisite for the BCMSN.... .haha jk jk.. but, take it seriously, and read those white papers.
You'll do great, Study hard. stay content

I am working my ass off on the CCNA Wireless book.
This is huge!
I am teaching the CCNA Wireless class in another week...
It is a ton of work for me, and the students.
This is not an easy class or test....and yes, it should be a pre-req.

Congratulation to you. I know it’s from a lot of h ard work. Well done.
I can understand the one who got 200/1000 as I was nearly to do the same yesterday (stuck on one com mand on the first lab and nearly to give up) >

Way to go Big Evil! And thanks for all your help over the past months! I don't remember the posts, but know that you've always been right there with some answers when I needed them. Keep going and best of luck. CCNP's just around the corner!
