Here in the UK we are paying near double for routers/switches.
I am getting real sick of getting out bid or having to pay top prices for gear.

Here isa question if i buy a router/switch from the USA not only will i save money, but will i be able to get to to work without having to use some kinda power convertor the size of a small car?

Thoughts guys?

I haven't seen a switchable power supply on a router yet, tbh I have seen one in a long time on any electrical device, the little red switch that you could flick to 110v / 240v, then again in Ireland so I'm in the same boat as you.

I think you'll have to use a converter alright. It is the customs applicable VAT that I'd be more worried about.

I spoke with someone at Cisco a few day back.
All Cisco equipment has flexible power supply options (range from 110V to 220V and frequencies 50-60Hz). So all i need to do change the power cable.

Yeah the duty will kill me, if get the sender to lower the value i will be fine.:)

Good to know. Think I could be joining you in that case.
