I have gone through a lot of questions I can lay my hands on, but I have yet to see IPv6 questions.
If anyone has written the new exam please give us some info on what the IPv6 questions looked like. If there were any at all.

If I were studying for the new 640-802 CCNA exam, I wouldn't spend too much time on IPv6 at this time. However, that is not to say that they couldn't pop up at any time.
I'd study IP routing, RIPv2, EIGRP, OSPF, VLSM, Summarization, Access-lists, Intro to Securirty, Intro to Wireless, Basic TCP/IP, Subnetting and Basic WAN's.
Cheers!

I did get one Q on address syntax. What addresses are correct or not.

Is this still the case? I ask simply because of the "New Exam" post on this site and on your blog... It mentions IPv6 as well as the Catalyst 2960 switch, SDM and others... Also no mention of the IOS CLI.. Should we run into a lot of that? I bought your command reference for now and later... Just trying to put an actual "This is what I need to be studying now" together...
Excerpt from the blog...
"A really cool thing I like about the new exam is that it covers all the new cutting edge stuff—no more of that ISDN crap! Here’s a short list of the new technologies covered:
Secure Device Manager
Virtual Private Networks
IPv6 (my favorite!)
2960 Switches
Cisco Network Assistant
Advanced EIGRP and OSPF
Introduction to Wireless networks
More security
Lots of troubleshooting Should be a hoot…"

Everything I mention in the blog is in the objectives for the exam. But if I were to study for the exam today, I'd study:
IP routing (in-depth), RIPv2, EIGRP, OSPF, VLSM, Summarization, Access-lists, Intro to Securirty, Intro to Wireless, Basic & Advanced TCP/IP, Subnetting and very Basic WAN's.
Cheers!

In the 6th edition pdf guide on page 745 special IPV6 addresses are discussed. So I wish to know in meaning of the /8 in the address FF00 ::/8, FE80::/10 Is it the mask like in IPv4 addresses? Waiting to here from you all I'm confused.

the /10 and /8 means that the first ten bits must match or the first 8bits must match repectively.
such as.
FF00 /8
this means 11111111 *first 8 bits ) of this type of address must match.
11111111 = FF
