And by FAT, i mean Freakin' Awesome Teacher! I just passed my ICND1 test. I signed up three months ago and hunkered down with the CCNA book, and phase one is complete! Got a total score of 902.
Describe operation of data network: 85%
Implement a small switched network: 87%
Implement IP addressing scheme: 88%
Implement small routed network: 93%
Explain administrative tasks required for WLAN: 100%
Identify security threads and methods to mitigate: 66%
Implement and verify WAN link: 50%


Kinda bummed about the WAN score being so low, sucks they don't tell you where you went wrong. I was so worried about running out of time i blazed through it, i had 35 minutes left at the end of the exam.
Any advice about the ICND2?? What specificaly does it test on? Everything other than what was covered in ICND1?

Congrats, nice score!

ICND2 tests on every other CCNA topic, yes, but it also requires knowledge of ICND1, so it's a mini-full-CCNA exam if you like. It wont test you directly on ICND1 stuff, but it might test your ability to think through questions using skills learned from ICND1.

i remember when i first purchased Todd Lammles CCNA hardcover study guide, the very first day when I looked in the book I was amazed and suprised. the topics looked very complicated but after a while the CCNA
isnt that hard but I know the test is.

Yes ICND2 is just like Fuzz said. I just wanted to warn you that is 15min shorter too. So you'll have to know everything perfectly if you want to make it. For me it run out of time before I can finish all the questions. I thought that I didn't pass but at my surprise I got 888.

Otherwise I wanted to say that I'm happy to first have bought Todd's book coz it is an excellent book and coz there's an great person behind. Thanks for your help everyday on the forum Mr Lammle.

Thank you Todd, your CCENT and CCNA books are excellent !!!
I have been looking in the forum since march, but I have never registered.
I passed ICND-1 at 27.5.09 with 930 p. and ICND-2 at 15.10.09 with 972 p.
I have used only your books and this forum, plus some "googling"
My experience in computer maintenance started in 1979, but my networking knowledge covered only ICND-1 at most.
As a Lab, I used a 1720 and a Cat.2924 for ICND-1 and added a 2610XM and a Cat.2950 for ICND-2
