Hi All
I had been playing around with the PT5.1 software for some time now. I have a query regarding DHCP there. After configuring the interfaces of the respective routers, when I am going to configure the IPv4 addresses of the Computers(hosts), I just for fun, tried to click on DHCP option there. For some seconds, it is showing REQUESTING IP ADDRESS. After some seconds, it is saying DHCP REQUEST FAILED.

What may be the reason for that?

Hello,
maybe you need a DHCP server? Did you configured one on another router?

If you have a server added to the topology, you need to set up that server for DHCP by turning that function on and setting up the dhcp pool, gateway and dns info.

otherwise, you can do the same on one of your routers.
