flow control- throttling the sender to over run the receiver.

how does buffering does flow control???

if i donot run window and only implement buffering at receiving side will give flow control???? NOPE...............

This is accomplished by a memory location called the buffer. The buffer will store datagrams, which allow the receiver to process them later. If the receiver, receives too many packets at once, the machine will drop the packets. pg 18 bottom - 19 top. But instead of dropping, the transport will issue a "not ready" indicator, to allow the receiver more time to process the overflow of datagrams.
