um, NV 5.0 doesn't have Show Arp as a working function?!?!?!?!?!

I built the Ch 8 network with a 2950 and 2 3550's, and none of them will let me do a Show Arp. I'm having issues where the 2950 seems to be not doing anything, as I can't ping it. The 3550's can ping each other fine, but I can't seem to get the 2950 to respond. From Core, Sho Mac-Add-Tab only shows S2, so not really sure what's up with S1 atm and well, can't believe there's no SHOW ARP command available. ugh!!!

PLEASE someone let me have a beta of NV 6.0 before i go NUTZ!!! :)

I am not sure that RouterSim will parse that command or not on the switches.

You need to remember that you will never be able to do all the commands that a real router or switch will do.
I use a lot of commands in my new book. There is no router simulator in the world that will ever cover all the commands. It will always be limited in some fashion.

This does not mean that you can't learn from them, or use them sucessfully.
The best thing is to read my chapters, then run through the labs included in the programs.

turns out I somehow bugged that network, and when I erased it and started over, it worked as expected.

Just wish it didn't take 24 hours for a new thread to post, I could'a already corrected this :)

My best guess is I was typing an ip address and did a 5 octet mask that was rejected but perhaps it got stuck in the sim code somewhere and wasn't cleanly ignored. That's about the only thing I can recall that was an errant command, And that same network build had issues like Sho In Trunk working on Corp then 5 minutes later not working. That was also corrected by redoing the network, so I guess I simply stumbled on a bug and didn't realize until after I tried to inquire, oppps! :)
