Please, help make clear the following output of sh ip eigrp topology

P 10.1.6.0/24, 1 successors, FD is 793600
via 10.1.2.2 (2195456/281600), Serial0/0/0
via 10.1.3.2 (77081600/281600), Serial0/0/1

What's the difference beetween FD in the first line of output and the first value in parentheses?

Thanks in advance.

This is odd, as the FD for the successor route should match one of the FD in the topology table. Where is this output from?

Example output from Mr. Lammle's CCNA study guide 6th ed. p.441

I think the same was asked recently. I think it's a typo. Try it on real gear/emulator and check for yourself.

yeah there must be some mistake ...FD here should match the first value in parenthesis ..

Thank you all very much for your answers!

Yes, the first line usually matched the first number in parenthesis.
Since I didn't make this stuff up (I used real gear and copied/pasted), I am not sure how they could be different, but they are and I am not sure why.

oh man, I might have been drinking by chapter 7, but how hard is it to copy/paste? It's not like I make those numbers up! I configure the routers/switches, and copy in the information I am discussing.
I must have been doing another lab, and then had to come back in edits and past that in or something like that. This is the only thing I can think of....

I can see it now......

That's awesome....Cisco routers should have breathalizers installed on them!

Yes, I stumbled onto that same output a couple of weeks ago.

The good thing is, you're learning. What looks correct and what doesn't.

That's a good thing! Frustrating, but good.

Thank you bobrosa for your words of support because really things are getting harder and harder (not to understand but to remember).

Thank you very much Mr. Lammle for your great efforts in clarifying not only CCNA but networking as a whole (IMHO).
