Hi All
Please consider the scenario. I have a 1841 router which is connected to a 2620 router using Copper Cross Over cable and to a network(Network I) using a Switch. The 2620 is connected to a 2811 router using CCO cable and to two networks (Networks II and III) via two switches. My requirements are as follows:
(I) I would like the hosts from all the networks to get their IP addresses from the 2811 router. So, which router do I make the DHCP server and of which interface do I put as the “Default Router”?
(II) I have another wish, but I do not know whether it is possible or not. Suppose the connection between the 2620 and 2811 router is down, that will also mean that the 1841 router is also disconnected from 2811 router. In that case, I would like the hosts from the three networks to get their IP addresses from their directly connected routers. How do I proceed?
Thanks and regards
