How do you remember the laws

Anyone have a good way to remember the laws that affect computer security? I have tried memorizing them but I am having a tough time remembering which rule was put into effect by which law and which ethics standards recommend what.

From what I recall from the (ISC)2 candidate bulletin and from information found on this site specific details on the laws has been removed from the exam.
