Hello everybody!I'm studying for CCNA exam and in Chapter 8 in Convergence section i dont understand the following:Because the typical spanning-tree topology's time to convergence from blocking to forwarding on a switch port is 50 seconds ,this could create time-out problems -what does it mean time-out problems? Thanks a lot for your help!

Mate read the next part on Portfast, it will be clear then.
Imagine a DHCPDiscover message being sent by a host. If the switch port state is not forwarding, those messages will never reach the DHCP server or relay agent and timeout, consequently stopping the client from gaining network access even when the port then starts forwarding.
This is just one example, but hopefully you get the idea.
