Hi All
I am facing a problem with the Packet Tracer 5.3 simulator software. And, I am facing this problem only while working on one particular network design I am working on, which has some 35 routers and 20 switches and some 80 hosts.

The problem is that sometimes, suddenly a popup would come saying "Packet Tracer has stopped working unexpectedly. Please save a diagnostics file and continue later on" On pressing OK, the entire thing would close, and a popup would come saying to send the error log to the creators.

I thought that I would un-install the software and re-install again, but peculiarly thing is that while I went to Add/Remove Program the PT is not there in the list. It is also not in the start menu. It is there only as a Desktop and Quick Launch icon.

What could be the problem, and how do I proceed?

Thanks in advance

Well it must be somewhere :) Right click on the desktop shortcut and click properties, there you'll find a location (target) of the actual .exe.

You should be able to uninstall it from there.

Sorry for the late answer. If you're still having problems with it, you can PM me, i'll try to help.

More than likely the file you are loading is corrupt. Can you open PT and create a new file? If so, the file you are crashing on is corrupt and you may need to recreate it by hand.
