Hello,

you should definitely start with CCNA

even that, you'll find, is a pain in the a$$, you have to read a lot, study a lot, practice a lot

CCNP is even harder so i suggest you give yourself some time, it's not gonna happen over night and you should be prepared to loose most of your days studying if you're gonna go intense

besides reading the books etc, if you really are novice in this stuff, i would recommend taking a CCNA academy course, it will be very useful and you can base your studies from there

good luck

The IT industry, and even the networking field, is a vast area, and until you know where you want to be within it, start with building on any knowledge you currently have. Network+ and/or CCENT/CCNA will be the best way to build solif foundation, but you might find that you don't want to do CCNP, and instead might want to try security, voice, or some other specialisation. Hopefully once you have a CCNA you'll know what area interests you most.
