how do you guys ground your equipment? i have 3 routers and 2 switches all plugged into a standard power bar. was maybe thinking on something more robust to protect my equipment, or is the standard power bar sufficient?

Home lab is fine mate, just don't over load the power bars! LOL
At work in the cab's we get a spark in the get power to the cab (if its not there). I then get him to run a ground wire to the switch/router. All the stuff is on UPS anyhow.
HTH.

I agree. I keep ALL my computer/network equipment on UPSs. Has been a life saver with some of the electrical storms I have weathered.
