Difference between CCNA 640-802 5th Edition and 6th edition

Hello Everybody,

I have been studying for my CCNA 640-802 exam which is in feb 2008. I have been studying from the 5th edition (delux edition). what i wanted to ask is whether this edition is sufficient for me to pass the exam or are there any updates in 6th edition which I should know before i appear for my exam due next month.

Well if you look at the CCNA spec at the Cisco site you will see:

IPv6
Wireless
SDM (Router HTTP access)
plus there could be others.

The 5th edition was for the old exam, which was retired last November. You will need to use materials that are meant for the 640-802 exam, not the 640-801. There are significant changes to the materials and requirements.

But I have got the CCNA 640-802 Delux edition (5th edition), Is that old? Which edition should I get becaus e I have got exam coming up in feb... Please help me out.

Can you post the ISBN number from the book or link to amazon or some site that gives details on exactly which book you are using to study?

That appears to be the correct book for the 640-802 test. If it has the wireless and IPv6 materials, it's the proper book to be using to study from. The Cisco Press books for ICND1 and ICND2 are also great resources for this exam. Best of luck.

Yes the edition which i have has got the above topics..... When I saw the 6th edition I was a bit worried if that was having the latest updates. Thank you for clearing my doubt. I appreciate your help.
