what is the difference betwen collision domain and broadcast domain?

Simple !
Just think Hub n Switches first thing.
Learn the difference b/w Hub n Switches!
Then Collision D = Hub
and Broadcast D = Switch

In a B-cast D each port or interface is a collision D. So that's why Switches are well know by default to break up broadcast D. Switches improve the life of Hubs in the world of B-cast n Col. D! U see that's easy!
U can start from there!!
