Hi,
I noticed when playing around with my 2610 router that when I use the service password-encryption command that it encrypts the console password I set as it's supposed to. I use the sh run command to view the encryption. However, the sh start command shows the console password clearly not encrypted. I think I am missing something? Why is my console password encrypted for my running config but not the startup config?
Just looking for some help on this topic.
