Hello Mr.lammle,
In the last two lines on page 526, you wrote about three commands-
1. interface port-channel
2. channel-group
3. channel-protocol
But in the example configuration there are only two commands used.

Mr.lammle, please describe how can we use the channel-protocol command.

The channel-protocol command is used to configure the protocol which manages the channel. The two options are PAgP or LACP, both of these commands can be configured using the channel-group command, but if the channel-protocol command is used the setting cannot be overriden. The use of this command is optional, meaning not required for the channel to be operative.
