Hi All,

Hope you can help me? :)

"ip nat inside source static 10.1.1.1 170.46.2.2"

1) Am i correct to say that 10.1.1.1 is an Inside Local
(Private IP on the LAN) ?
2) I thought that 170 46.2.2 an Inside GLobal IP? But the book, Chapter
11, page 674 says that it is an Outside Global.
3) How are we affected if starting point of translation is an outside
source? I read and re-read but still cannot get it.

Do we not need to convert the Inside local first to an Inside Global first? Inside Global is routable correct?

Best Regards,
Venka Vimar
