I have an older BOSON software simulator (640-801) downloaded onto my PC, and am wondering if this is good enough for passing the current CCNA exam? Is there something that people are using with great success as a lab simulator? In reading the current 640-802 6th addition study guide, there are plenty of references that having experience with a 2960 switch and CNA are a must! Can anyone provide a little insight on where I should look for study help?

I am not sure I said in my book that "CNA" is a must....as a matter of fact it is not and is not mentioned in the Cisco CCN Objectives, so that will save you some time, right?

Anyway's, I'd upgrade to real equipment, but you really must just study, study, study....routing is routing and if that boson stuff can route, then you'll be ok I guess (but I am not promising because I don't use it nor have seen it). I have used and seen routersim and know that will do everything in my book (I use to own routersim, but dont' anymore).

Cheers!
