Hello,

It might be me but on page 624 shoudn't the acl read 172.16.88.0 0.0.7.255?

A /21 is 5 bits so that makes it a hop count of 8 correct?

Thank you

First, it is important that you do not get hop count and block sizes mixed up!
I knew you meant block size....

the host is 172.16.92.10/21, which makes the mask 255.255.248.0. The block size in the third octet is 8 as you mentioned.....counting by 8's: 0 , 8, 16...etc...80, 88, 94...the 92 host is in the 88 subnet.

Wildcards used in access lists and OSPF configurations are always one less then the block size, so this makes our wildcard for the 172.16.88.0 subnet 0.0.7.255

Cheers!
