When they ask you to find the second two subnets of for example 10.0.0.0/17

Why for the first one 10.1.0.0 and not 10.0.0.0?

the only two subnets here are 0 and 128 why the 1 in the second octet? can it also bee 10.0.0<---subnet.0 instead of a 1 in the second octet ?

the second subnet I'm ok with it 10.0.128.0 I'm confuse with the 1 in teh 2nd octet in teh 0 subnet

Must be a mistake. The two subnets of 10.0.0.0/17 are 10.0.0.0 and 10.0.128.0.

I'm glad you think the same way, I don't know the 1 from where it came from, the question I was asked was to write out the SECOND two subnets for ip address 10.0.0.0/17- one of the answers was 10.1.0.0, this confused me big time, isnt the first one suppose to be 10.0.0.0 ? didn't know what hey meant by the SECOND two subnets

FYI this is not a test question gentz, this is a question I was ask on a site i used to practice subnetting

If I'm violating anything pls delete the post and my apologies
