Error in Chapter 6 - CCNA 802

On page 341 Figure 6.9 Configuring IP routing...

1) Look at the interface of Corp s0/0/0 – ip address of 10.1.3.0
On the next page 342 Table 6.1 - s0/0/0 is listed as 10.1.2.0

If you use the Table (which has s0/0/0 listed wrong) the configs and routing tables in the procedeing pages will be correct.

If you config the routers using the correct information listed in the figure your information will not match the following configs or routing tables. So in turn the configs will have the wrong IP for s0/0/0 and the routing tables will reflect the same erroneous info.

2) Also on R5 DCE is s0/0/1and on Page 343 Table 6.1 R5 DCE is s/0/0/0


Is this what you see? If I am correct this simle transposing of IPs throws the enire Tables and Configs off for the next pages in the exercise.

Do they make typos in Official Study guides?

A quick fix would be to have Page 341 Figure 6.9 changed to reflect the IP address in this manner:

s0/0/0 - 10.1.2.0
s0/0/1 - 10.1.3.0

That would make everything jive! I believe it is just a misprint on page 341.

I would like to here someones thoughts... anybody?

Hi, thanks for posting.

Yes, this error was found immediatly after the first printing and has been fixed.

It is in the errata as well.

The quick fix you pointed out was exactly what I did to fix it.
