Documenting network topology using CDP

Hello everybody,

AS depicted in page 314 (edition 7) of Lammle's book,

The IP address of the connected devices are shown as next to the IP address of the interface of the host router.

But, using the "sh cdp neigh de" command,

The IPs of connected device found, seem not to follow the same rule as in page 314.

Can anybody elaborate the difference?

Any responses would be appreciated.
