Hi Mr Todd Lammle,
Knowing that the LLC sublayer and MAC sublayer are both belong to DataLink Layer. I am a bit confused in the functions that defined in CCNA Study Guide, 6th Edition, Pg25 and LLC defined in Pg884(Glossary section).
Can you please tell me which functions belongs to which of the following function below belonging to which sublayer?
1. Error Detection(CRC)
2. Flow Control(What is the difference of the 'flow control' between Data Link Layer and Transport Layer)
3. Framing(Encapsulation?)
4. Software sublayer addressing(Similar to MAC Physical Addressing?)
5. Sequencing of control bits(same as ordered delivery of frames?)
6. Line Discipline(What is meant by Line Displine)
Thanks for your enlightening!
