I am looking up ways to access my gear when I am not home and it is not very clear to me.

I am looking into a 2611RJ or a 3640 with the an NM-16A (or something on that line). With either of those devices, can I log in directly to that unit from the net or do I need a intermediary device of some sort?

There is a few ways you can do this. I telnet onto a 1841 and then access a 2600 that see's the whole lab.

Being incongnito at work is always fun.

One time I was studying for my CCNA at a café and these two guys walked by and saw all my terminal screens up. The first thing out their mouths was "hiding in a café and doing a little hacking?!?!" all while laughing. I told them I was studying for my Cisco cert...they did not believe me! It was a funny moment.

LOL.. i get that when i am sat on trains or in coffee places.
It scares people - people can fear computer guys. The media does not help matter one bit.
