CCNA simulations

Hi,

Hoping someone can help me. Ive been ploughing through the CCNA seventh edition book and making progress. Its a great book, very well explained!.

Im only on chapter 10, but know up to 10 inside out. From what Ive covered so far I feel the multiple choice and fill in blanks parts of the exam will be fine with me.

Its the simulations that Im worried about. I have got my hands on the Cisco packet tracer and tried to complete CORP network as Todd did in chapter 8 and 9. But I find I cant get all the interfaces on the routers in Cisco packet tracer to match. Although I understand all the configuration, Im unsure how much Cisco will ask me to do in the exam.
I found Simulation Exam practice Guide on the CD, but again, Im unsure if Cisco will expect us to set up network as in question or not. Can I download preset simulations to complete the simulations on?

Do Cisco use something similar to the Cisco Packet Tracer when testing?
Does the Cisco CCNA test include any hardware configuration?
Im sorry if some of these questions are stupid. Im having a hard time, there is a lot of info out there.

Without breaking the NDA it is hard to answer your question with a lot of detail.

In the exam Cisco uses e-sim - you can see this in

This is for CCNP level so do not get put off with not knowing it.

BTW what you don't understand in the Ch 8? the Corp router? I can help you with that. Take a look my post, probably you have the same question than me. But Know I understand this and maybe I can help you out.

On the cd there is practise labs. Is there something I can download to set up packet tracers for each lab?

Packet Tracer and GNS progrms are not included in my book, the CD, or any of my web sites. However, the packet Tracer files that I used to create these practice labs can be found on my web site at www.lammle.com

I have got packet tracer but I cannot find these practise labs anywhere!!!, perhaps it should be made clear where they are if its written in the guide!.
