Guys;

Need some help.

Is there anyone who has used Lammle's CCNA dvd? I am interested in buying the dvd. Is there anyone who can sell me the used dvd (the full version)? I am afraid i can not afford the new set which is listed @ 500 USD being a student.

Todd;

You you are ok with that idea?

cheers

Yes, sure, thank you for asking.
You are asking to buy a used purchased licensed version. Totally legal.
I apprecaite your post!
In another month or less, I'll have Online streaming videos on lammle.com, so if this does not work out, you can get those for less than $499.

Thanks Todd.

I was just wondering if i could pay you on an instalment arrangement basis perhaps as i really need to write my exams by end of oct 2011? It is difficult to arrange such huge sum of money being a student.

Guys;

Any one who may help me buy the used version?

I would love to be able to afford Todds cd series too...and im NOT a student.

First of all, Todds book and the cd material is enough to pass the CCNA. You said you are a student - cisco academy?

Also look into youtube, there are a lot of really good videos. In particular, do a search on Keith Barker, and Kevin Wallace, they both have youtube channels with excellent videos, and I mean excellent.

hi there;

no i am not a cisco academy student, i am studying for my masters actually. a prospective employer needs certification status. which i am striving for.

i know todd's videos are great, however i do not have access to them as if can not afford them.

what i can suggest here is that all those who are planning to write the exam and self training, we can pool up to pay for this dvd and then ship them to who so ever has pooled in or upload them on an ftp server (secure of course).

everybody would be happy that way i suppose?

everybody but todd and his wallet.

dude, its not that big of a deal, if you are in a masters program you can handle the ccna. The book is enough.

i guarantee you, if you think that just watching the videos is going to rocket you through to passing the ccna dont count on it. Videos are a great way to reinforce everything, but you would still need book time, and practice, which the CD material offers you.

Maybe im wrong, maybe you have a memory like Bobby Fisher or Kasparov and could spit out all the video information you digested verbatim...but...you'd be gambling another 250.00 on that. Anyway, its not just about raw information, its about problem solving and troubleshooting, and that takes practice, and a lot of CLI memorization. Which brings up another thing...you'd be better off with the book and one router and one switch...that would cost about 100.00 to 150.00 but it would take you a long way in practicing CLI. More of each is better obviously - but you really need some way to practice CLI.

If your boss wants a cert, you might consider taking the two test path, and get the CCENT first...Todd's CCENT book, a router and switch are definately all you need for that...its a fairly easy exam.
