Hi Mr Todd Lammle,

I have found your book for CCNP from the web on Amazon.com:

CCNP: Cisco Internetwork Troubleshooting Study Guide
CCNP/CCIP: BSCI Study Guide (Hardcover)

What would be the latest edition available if i am planning to use your books to prepare for my CCNP BSCI?

Thanks.:D

that is an old book.

However, with that said, it does have good information, good labs, good receview questions, etc, it just does not cover the latest exam.

If you are looking for information on BGP, advanced OSPF, etc, then this is a great start, but don't look at it as this book providing the new BSCI objecective material. I am sure the book is inexpensive for a reason.

I am happy this forum can provide such a place for these type of questions.

Cheer!
Todd

Hello Todd,

On that note about the old book: when is the new CCNP stuff coming out from you? Your CCNA book is awesome by the way.

I am working on a book with Pat Conlan that is not due out until the end of the year, but it covers ALL the CCNP exams/objectives.
It is a huge book.
So, I don't have anything right now.
Cheers!

It should be on Amazon in a month or so, but the book won't be available for at least 4 months.
If you are in a hurry, you can go the cisco press route as they are the only ones with a book out.
You can also search the Cisco web site for each technology, say OSPF, and all the information is there, you just have to weed it out.
Cheers!
Todd

I personally hate the CiscoPress books. I made the mistake of buying the CCNP Official Exam Certification guide. I found out later there are CiscoPress Official Study Guides. I already am having issues with the way the CP books explain things. Todd has a way that CCIE guy does not... in explaining things better.

On the other hand ... I am doing the BCMSN first because all of the VLAN and STP stuff you already have 50% from the CCNA 802. It goes right in to the next level but just more detail. I started 1 week ago and 3/4 way through the book. I hope to ead it 2 or 3 more times and retain more but it is mostly the 802 material.

I dread the BCSI exam because OSPF and EIGRP converging w/ Frame relay. The IS-IS and BGP. We don't even use that on our networks.

Hope this helps. Good luck on your journey.

Waiting for ya todd.. cant wait the the CCNP book...

i hate Cisco press books too.. That why i used odoms as a backup.. Man todd has a good way of explaining.. I also like Jeremy Ciaora, he is one ccie that explains well also..
Well i figured i get the hardest knocked out.. Yeah theres so much to BSCI

but i guess i got to settle with CP right now.. who the best author if the BSCI cisco press books

I am constantly updating my boot camp at GlobalNet Training so that takes me a lot of time. It is a huge class.

The book is not available yet. End of year.

Thanks!
Todd
