Well, I haven't gotten around to the CheckPoint to ASA 5510 conversion yet, as mentioned in my previous thread. I'm updating some hardware and cabling in the server room and transitioning from the current MS Online cloud to the Office 365 cloud. Fun. Fun. ;)

But the ASA 5510 is installed in the system and 'doing something'.

So, anyway, I need to power it down and move it to another UPS this weekend.

Can I just flip the off switch on the back or does it need to be shutdown from the command line. I just want to make sure that when I power it back up it hasn't lost its mind!

Edit: Doing some more research, looks like that as long as you write to memory, so as not to lose the configuration,
the power switch can be flipped off. (heheh... don't do it BE!)

Thanks...

OK, thanks for the verification.

Incidentally, maybe 'flipped off' has another meaning only in the U.S.
