First time poster, long time Lammle reader:
CCENT Study Guide (2008)
Real World Scenario: Should I Just Replace All My Hubs with Switches?
Chapter 1, pg 10.
"Let's say that you have 40 users plugged into 4 hubs, 10 users each...to buy just one switch and plug each hub into a switch port and plug the servers into the switch, you'll have 4 collision domains and one broadcast domain."
How would it be just 4 collision domains? 4 hubs into 4 switch ports would be 4 (1 hub in 1 switch port is one collision domain x4) PLUS a collision domain for every server (unspecified in example) plugged into a switch port, right? It should read "...you'll have at least 4 collision domains...", no?
