I dont understand the idea of Virtual Firewalls. What is the practical use for a virtual firewall? would someone please explain why you would use this feature instead of having one firewall with multiple interfaces?

here is one for you. Lets say you are the network admin for the parent company which has 3 smaller companies under it. Lets also say for whatever reason each one of those sub companies wants to maintain separate firewalls. All of this equipment is managed by you. Instead of buying multiple firewalls (one for each company), you setup virtual instances and let each sub company have its way with it.
