    Default EIGRP ip route

I think i've followed the EIGRP section in the 7th edition book with no mistakes, but for some reason I'm left with a RIP route in the table, when I run show ip route. I believed enabling EIRGP would cause this route to go away, buit no luck so far... Has anyone seen this before?

The routing table is slow to clear out sometimes...

Try:clear ip route * and let it rebuild (though thats a moot point now)

It's going well, I have 7 more chapters in Todd's book to complete before scheduling the icnd2 exam. I think once i take the exam i will have put about 5 months into studying for icnd2. I see people doing this course in 2-3 months, but I'm taking my time on this one. I've heard icnd2 is a bit harder than icnd1.

    thanks,

dont worry about the people rushing through it...they will forget the stuff they learned five times faster than you will...
