    Default Moving back to Texas

I'll be moving back to Texas next month. I'll be working in Richardson near Central Expressway and Campbell Road.

Hmmmm.... I think that's right next to Todd's Bootcamp playground!

Maybe I'll eventually get that CCNA someday!

It's not even May yet and the forecast is calling for temps in the 90 degree F range in a couple of days. I see sunburn and sweat in my future!

Well, been here almost a month. Closing on the house tomorrow. Move in next Monday! Bought a 2012 Subaru Forester Limited. Paid $45 for my first 11 gallons of gas!!! Fortunately, the house is only 1.5 miles from the office.

I'm looking forward to getting my lab set back up.

And, I'm getting closer to getting serious about transferring a Checkpoint NG R55 Firewall/VPN configuration to an ASA 5510.

Ok - i just want to let you all know you are making depressed with talk over TX.

bs_kwaj, is that considered expensive for gas?
That amount of gas (11 gallons or 50 litres) would cost 72 ($117) here in the UK.

TL - UK sucks not just London right now. There is flooding as it has rained everyday for the last 9 days with 10 - 20 bursts of sunshine. Funny part is most area have a hose pipe ban and water shortage, from the news we are having "The wrong type of rain"? Rain is rain - shows what i know. The government is tightening the thumb screws on human rights, but yet letting those who come to the UK and live from our benefits system and insight racial hatred stay here due to European rules. The cost of living is spiralling out of control and yet the banks are seeing profits rise to 2.45bn before tax this quarter.

We have seen our weekly food bill for two adults and one child go up by as much as 25% in the last 12 months and petrol (gas) reach all time highs of 1.45 per litre - of which 65% is government tax. [/rant]

Dang... that does sound like a tough situation.

In the 6 years I was in the Marshall Islands, not buying gas, the price of gas has gone way up. So, yes, for our situation, or at least for me, paying that much for gas was a big shock. We're all getting screwed out of our money, eh?

Not sure about the UK, bur here in Texas people are gunning each other down every day! Now that's scary too! Todd seemed to be joking about the gun... but, hey, you never know when you might need one! I do have a .45 auto, but it's locked up in a friend's gun locker. Might need to get that out and get a CCW (Conceal Carry Weapon) license!

Yeah guns are illegal in the UK - but there is still shootings in the bigger cities like London/Manchester etc.
In the UK if you drive anything over a 1.6L engine car the gov will hammer you in every which way they can. Hence now there is all these small cars everywhere - they are the size you find in your cereal packets! LOL

I'm getting settled in. Got all of my network gear in boxes out in the garage. Get my stored furniture next weekend.

I'll be slowly but surely getting back in the swing of things before long...
