Yep, i have a question out as to when the blueprint might be available for ccna security. Currently the exam uses the sdm, but Im studying in a class now for ccna sec and we are using the CCP...hopefully they make the switch to CCP. Doesnt really matter the 6 month transition is enough to make everyone happy. More or less

It has been on the cards a while to update CCNA SEC - the CCNP SEC is the most updated of all Cisco CC*P exam, starting from when it was CCSP.

Thanx BE, yeah I saw that. The updated exam has a different exam number too. I'm comparing the two Exam Topics, the Topic titles are the same (worded slightly different), but yes, they removed all the SDM topics.

I went to Amazon and did a search for books on the new exam, only 2 results came up (CiscoPress), these haven't been released yet.

I'm seeing exam updates on Voice & Wireless exams too.

Yeah the Cisco way - release a new exam, two months later release the books.
