    Exclamation CCNA Expiring Jul 2013

My CCNA is expiring July 2013!! And I don't wanna retake the same boring exam, 640-802. So I've decided to go for CCNA Security but there aren't any good books for that exam. *looks pointedly at Todd* I did buy the CCNA Wireless by Todd but I really want that Sec.

So Todd, are u gonna be releasing a CCNA Security book any time soon mate? I'll be your first buyer! (ok maybe 2nd, just behind BE. lol)

I already have it mate! Todd gave me a copy as a read.

As TL has mentioned before - Sybex have a CCNA SEC book (Tim Boyle), so if he does it will be an e-book.

Actually there are about 4 or 5 other books, besides the one BE mentioned that are very good.

Im using Catherine Paquets book, and the Cisco Academy Security 1.0 course booklet (online curriculum in print format) and they are very good. Actually the academy takes large segments straight from Catherines book and sticks it right in their curriculum. I recommend Paquet highly.

The Academy has just updated their online course to 1.1, and the last day to take the current CCNA sec is Sept 30.

CCNA security 2.0 was just announced.

Check amazon and read the reviews on the current books available bro.

I used - CCNA Security Official Exam Certification Guide - Michael Watkins & Kevin Wallace.

But other i know have used these also.

Implementing Cisco IOS Network Security - Catherine Paquet
CCNA Security Study Guide - Tim Boyles

I did my CCNA SEC right off the back of the old CCNP ISCW exam - which was pretty much the same exam and i was working with ASA most of the day at the time.
