Default Is there a way to get the hostname of the root bridge from another switch?

I was trying to see if there is some way to tell what the hostname of a switch is from a remote switch using the spanning-tree commands. If for whatever reason I can only access one switch trying to find what the root switch's hostname is, I would greatly appreciate some help with that. I know I can find the root switch's MAC address with the spanning-tree show commands, but wanted to see if I could get a hostname. Thanks in advance.

not with spanning tree. Your best bet is to use sh span and follow your root port, then use sh cdp nei
