Proxy Arp and Interface Routes vs Nexthop Route

I didnt think this was correct and I went and tested it and its not correct. I turned off proxy arp on S0/0 and changed my static from IP to exit interface and it still works just fine.

So unless your saying something else I dont think your correct in that you cannot use exit interface if you remove proxy arp.

P.S. on the topology I created in GNS3 for this test I had PC1 - R1 - R2 - PC2

I was pinging from PC1 and R1 to PC2 had to have static route setup or it wont work and I changed static route on R1 to use exit interface.
