Hey everyone,
I had a question about Pinging. I have run into a strange problem. I have 3 2501 routers connected to each other (RouterA, RouterB, RouterC). RouterA has a laptop (running as TFTP Server) server connected to it's Ethernet0 interface. I have configured the static routing tables on each Router. The laptop on RouterA can successfully Ping RouterC (via RouterB) and RouterC can also successfully Ping the laptop (via RouterB). I am even able to successfully back up the running-config of RouterC to the TFTP server on RouterA. The strange thing is, when I connect to RouterA via the console cable, I cannot Ping RouterC. My question is... why is the laptop connected to RouterA able to Ping RouterC, yet when I am consoled into RouterA I cannot Ping RouterC? |
