This isn't strictly part of the ccna, but I decided to try using an 877w at home. I'm having a hell of a time getting the wireless to work. I sorta cheated with the dsl by using the sdm (worked like a charm), but I'm having problems with the wireless. i got one ssid running without authentication (by following Cisco's documentation), but the ones I've tried with either wep or wpa don't work properly, including not broadcasting the ssids. Does anyone have a simple set of instructions to create a wep and wpa ssid, that will be discoverable by network clients? Much appreciated.
P.S I'd use the sdm for this too, but it says "The wireless application is not installed" |
