Hi There,
first I have to say sorry about my English language skill. I hope you dont mind. I have configured my network on Cisco Packet Tracer and I have a problem with EIGRP and RIP redistribution. In the routing table of CORP I have the "D EX" advertised route with AD 170 to the remote network 10.1.12.0. But in the book, on page 433 I see "D" with AD 90. Can anybody tell me where is the mistake in my configuration? Another thing... R3 configuration... "redistribute rip metric 10000000 20 255 1 1500". I had set up the value of delay with 20000, but when I check the running config, I see 2000 only. Then I checked it time to time, and it was 200 and now is 20. How can it possible? I hope... someone has the instant solution. ![]() Thanks for your helpfulness ===================[Routers]======================= [CORP]-<se0/2/0>-----<se0/0/1>-[R3]-<fa0/1>---------<fa0/1>-[871W]-10.1.12.0 =============================================== ================[Configurations]=================== =============================================== -= CORP configuration =---------------------------- Corp#sh ru ! router eigrp 10 passive-interface FastEthernet0/1 network 10.0.0.0 auto-summary ! ip classless ! ================================================== = -= R3 configuration =------------------------------ R3#sh ru ! router eigrp 10 redistribute rip metric 10000000 20 255 1 1500 passive-interface FastEthernet0/0 passive-interface FastEthernet0/1 network 10.0.0.0 auto-summary ! router rip version 2 redistribute eigrp 10 metric 1 passive-interface FastEthernet0/0 passive-interface Serial0/0/1 network 10.0.0.0 ! ip classless ! ================================================== = -= 871W configuration =---------------------------- 871W#sh ru ! router rip version 2 passive-interface Ethernet0/0/0 network 10.0.0.0 ! ip classless ! ================================================== = =============================================== ==================[Routing tables]================= =============================================== -= CORP =---------------------------- Corp#sh ip ro Gateway of last resort is not set 10.0.0.0/24 is subnetted, 12 subnets C 10.1.1.0 is directly connected, FastEthernet0/1 C 10.1.2.0 is directly connected, Serial0/0/0 C 10.1.3.0 is directly connected, Serial0/0/1 C 10.1.4.0 is directly connected, Serial0/1/0 C 10.1.5.0 is directly connected, Serial0/2/0 D 10.1.6.0 [90/2172416] via 10.1.2.2, 00:45:16, Serial0/0/0 [90/2172416] via 10.1.3.2, 00:45:14, Serial0/0/1 D 10.1.7.0 [90/2172416] via 10.1.2.2, 00:45:16, Serial0/0/0 [90/2172416] via 10.1.3.2, 00:45:14, Serial0/0/1 D 10.1.8.0 [90/20537600] via 10.1.4.2, 00:45:16, Serial0/1/0 D 10.1.9.0 [90/20514560] via 10.1.4.2, 00:45:16, Serial0/1/0 D 10.1.10.0 [90/20514560] via 10.1.5.2, 00:45:10, Serial0/2/0 D 10.1.11.0 [90/20514560] via 10.1.5.2, 00:45:10, Serial0/2/0 D EX 10.1.12.0 [170/20563200] via 10.1.5.2, 00:45:10, Serial0/2/0 ================================================== = -= R3 =------------------------------ R3#sh ip ro Gateway of last resort is not set 10.0.0.0/24 is subnetted, 12 subnets D 10.1.1.0 [90/2172416] via 10.1.5.1, 00:47:11, Serial0/0/1 D 10.1.2.0 [90/2681856] via 10.1.5.1, 00:47:11, Serial0/0/1 D 10.1.3.0 [90/2681856] via 10.1.5.1, 00:47:11, Serial0/0/1 D 10.1.4.0 [90/21024000] via 10.1.5.1, 00:47:11, Serial0/0/1 C 10.1.5.0 is directly connected, Serial0/0/1 D 10.1.6.0 [90/2684416] via 10.1.5.1, 00:47:11, Serial0/0/1 D 10.1.7.0 [90/2684416] via 10.1.5.1, 00:47:11, Serial0/0/1 D 10.1.8.0 [90/21049600] via 10.1.5.1, 00:47:11, Serial0/0/1 D 10.1.9.0 [90/21026560] via 10.1.5.1, 00:47:11, Serial0/0/1 C 10.1.10.0 is directly connected, FastEthernet0/0 C 10.1.11.0 is directly connected, FastEthernet0/1 R 10.1.12.0 [120/1] via 10.1.11.2, 00:00:23, FastEthernet0/1 ================================================== = -= 871W =---------------------------- 871W#sh ip ro Gateway of last resort is not set 10.0.0.0/24 is subnetted, 12 subnets R 10.1.1.0 [120/1] via 10.1.11.1, 00:48:08, FastEthernet0/1 R 10.1.2.0 [120/1] via 10.1.11.1, 00:48:08, FastEthernet0/1 R 10.1.3.0 [120/1] via 10.1.11.1, 00:48:08, FastEthernet0/1 R 10.1.4.0 [120/1] via 10.1.11.1, 00:48:08, FastEthernet0/1 R 10.1.5.0 [120/1] via 10.1.11.1, 00:48:18, FastEthernet0/1 R 10.1.6.0 [120/1] via 10.1.11.1, 00:48:08, FastEthernet0/1 R 10.1.7.0 [120/1] via 10.1.11.1, 00:48:08, FastEthernet0/1 R 10.1.8.0 [120/1] via 10.1.11.1, 00:48:08, FastEthernet0/1 R 10.1.9.0 [120/1] via 10.1.11.1, 00:48:08, FastEthernet0/1 R 10.1.10.0 [120/1] via 10.1.11.1, 00:00:17, FastEthernet0/1 C 10.1.11.0 is directly connected, FastEthernet0/1 C 10.1.12.0 is directly connected, Ethernet0/0/0 ================================================== = * |
