Hands-on Lab 9.5 in Packet Tracer

I'm a bit of a Packet Tracer n00b, so I was wondering if anybody had suggestions on how to set up the Hands-on Lab 9.5 for OSPF DR and BDR Elections.

Should I just be using a switch as the network backbone?
