The CompTIA Network+ Certification

The CompTIA Network+ class, though introductory, is a stimulating and substantial course in general networking. It’s not a mundane slam dunk—the list of objectives that must be met is extensive and detailed, so you need to learn a lot about networking before attempting to pass this exam.

The Cisco® CCENT Certification

Once you take and pass the CompTIA Network+ exam, the next step is to move on into the Cisco® Certified Entry Network Technician (CCENT) course. This class is essentially an introduction to Cisco® certification, and it’s the perfect class to take immediately following your Network+ exam.

Because although it’s also introduction to networking, this course is different in that it’s Cisco® specific, and will help you begin to get really grounded in the importance and complexities of routing and switching. Our recommended track to certification doesn’t include taking the CCENT exam—you get to skip that, (and save the money)!
